One of Chris' earliest memories is sitting with his mother as she drew stick men. Seeing something appear on a blank piece of paper was amazing to him. Creating something from nothing.
Drawing was his escape hatch. As a child he would draw superheroes for hours.
When Chris was 7 his grandad passed away and the realisation that he would never see him again made him realise anyone in his life could be gone at any moment.
Drawing and eventually painting loved ones and pets became his time machine. That one perfect moment capturing the memories on canvas.
What is art?
Chris believes that art transcends the boundaries of medium, material, and even the artist. Its true essence lies in the deeply personal connections it creates within us.
It’s not the brushstrokes on canvas, the chisel on marble, or the pixels on a screen that give art its meaning — it’s the emotion it awakens. Art has the extraordinary power to stir our souls, to invite reflection, and to ignite passion. It mirrors our inner world, offering comfort, inspiration, and catharsis.
No matter the form it takes or the tools used to bring it to life, the enduring magic of art is its ability to move us — not outwardly, but inwardly. That’s where its true value lives.
In 2001 Chris' friend & fellow artist Ian Lawes introduced him to painting digitally. Chris was amazed at the possibilities and was instantly hooked.
He becamed obsessed at perfecting his skills with these new tools. In 2006 a portrait Chris painted of Sir Alex Ferguson was signed by him and auctioned for charity.
Chris was interviewed for MUTV & Sky Sports news which was aired globally. This ignited his rise to the top of the artworld.
Around 2007 Chris was involved with the cast of UK TV Show Emmerdale raising funds for Lukemia Research with signed portraits of cast members.
What do Chris' clients say?
His satisfied clients around the world say his art transcends anything else they have purchased.
Being involved in creating portraits that capture these amazing personal achievements gives Chris the greatest feeling of satisfaction.
